Description

These hand-turned wood French rolling pins are a baker’s dream. The tapered wood pin provides excellent precision for rolling any dough to a specific thickness. The acclaimed foodie magazine, Bon Appetit, puts it best by saying “Nothing else, no matter how complicated or ergonomically designed offers the same ease of use and control.”

Our carpenters turn the raw wood by hand one piece at a time, using a lathe. The wood French Rolling Pin is available in your choice of Cherry, Maple, or Walnut wood. The custom rolling pin can be laser-engraved with any personal details to fit your gift-giving occasion.

French Rolling Pins are easy to hold and maneuver, allowing you to easily pivot directions without having to lift and rotate the dough.

To use a wooden French rolling pin, simply place it in the center of the dough and roll it outward in a back-and-forth motion while applying gentle pressure. As you roll, rotate the dough slightly to maintain an even thickness and prevent sticking. The tapered ends of the pin make it easy to manipulate and shape the dough according to your needs.

Plus, who doesn’t love using a rolling pin to hammer a bag of cookies or holiday peppermints?

Frequently Asked Questions

This is a common question! For a simple engraving, we recommend one of four popular choices. (1) large initial or monogram (2) last name (3) wedding date or (4) longitude and latitude coordinates of a special place.

For a traditional monogram, with a larger center initial, follow the rules noted below.

  • Individual’s monogram = first, last, middle (for example, Carrie Pearl Smith = cSp)
  • Couple’s monogram = wife’s name, last name, husband’s name (for example, Caroline and Scott Miller = cMs)
