Description

Meet Hooky, the hook and ring game. The solution for those beautiful days when you play hooky from work and need a new game to play with family and friends.

Sure, swinging a ring on a string may seem easy, but this game provides hours of competition and enjoyment. Add some buddies and drinks, and your day of boredom is done and filled instead with a simple, fun drinking game. Get the kids involved too! The hook and ring game can be the next great friendly competition for your kids and their friends.

Hooky comes with all of the necessary equipment: a 2-inch metal ring, a metal hook, a metal eye hook, a screw, and weather-resistant polypropylene twine.

  • Thanks to a keyhole opening on the back, Hooky mounts easily onto the provided screw. Attach the string to the ring, screw in the provided eye hook to a ceiling or beam, and attach the string to the eye hook. Now you are ready to play!
  • If the ring doesn’t reach the hook or is too long, no problem, just shorten or lengthen the string accordingly.
Disclaimer:
We finish Hooky with an “Indoor Polyurethane”, which is not meant to withstand outdoor weather conditions.
While we encourage you to use the hook and ring game wherever you desire, we must warn you that it may weather, gray, or crack if used and left outside.
If used outside, we recommend finishing over our finished product with an additional “Exterior Polyurethane”. Furthermore, taking Hooky inside in the harshest conditions may prolong the look of the natural wood grain and color.

Frequently Asked Questions

This is a common question! For a simple engraving, we recommend one of four popular choices. (1) large initial or monogram (2) last name (3) wedding date or (4) longitude and latitude coordinates of a special place.

For a traditional monogram, with a larger center initial, follow the rules noted below.

  • Individual’s monogram = first, last, middle (for example, Carrie Pearl Smith = cSp)
  • Couple’s monogram = wife’s name, last name, husband’s name (for example, Caroline and Scott Miller = cMs)

For more tips on monogram styling, check out this great article by Raising Camelot. or visit our blog post with tips for designing an engraved gift.

We like using the gps converter on gps-coordinates.net. Simply enter a physical address and click “Get GPS Coordinates”. You can choose between two different layout options: DD (decimal degrees) or DMS (degrees, minutes, seconds).
