Find us at Ford Place Using our Hands to Make Things

AI Who?

In a weathered, cedar-shingled building shared with other artisans, tucked away in a section of a seaside town that was once the home to a colonial mill dating back to the 18th century, we're still working with our hands making things out wood.

It's the year 2026, technology seems to be taking hold of every part of our lives, and we've been inundated with pressure to embrace all things tech and automation. But somehow, we continue making.

We're not saying we're pilgrims, but producing our products and custom wood designs require multiple steps to complete and require actual humans to carry out. Our Ford Place cohorts - carpenters and a landscape painter - spend their days producing goods that also require their hands, brains, and creativity. Down the street, our Greenbush neighbors are making pizzas and brewing beer.

Sometimes you need to take a moment to remember that the local economy and all of its players are working hard, in a tough economic climate, to produce goods and provide services right here in Scituate. It's a ray of light in a sea of data center stories.

Thank you to all who keep us in business and SHOUT OUT to our fellow, local business owners for all you provide.

"Time keeps on slippin', slippin', slippin' into the future," as Steve Miller sings, but we'll be here on Ford Place creating cool things out of wood and custom pieces of wood furniture. Send us your wildest ideas and specs for a Custom Quote. Or take a look at our Spring Look Book for inspiration.
