The Old Glory is our American Flag cutting board that you can show off all year. She was built to proudly display snacks, apps, and charcuterie spreads at summer BBQs, picnic gatherings, and your neighbor’s pool party.

The Old Glory serving board measures 10″ x 15″ and showcases rich walnut wood, along with alternating strips of maple and padauk to represent the stripes of the American Flag. The star cutout is a decorative accent that makes the board truly shine.

For another idea, pair your Old Glory, American Flag cutting board, with the other items in our Liberty Collection. And, of course, you can add a personal touch with custom engraving. Popular engravings include initials or a last name.

Fun fact. In 1831, a ship captain from Massachusetts named William Driver coined the nickname “Old Glory” during one of his voyages. As his ship sailed off from the port, Driver discovered the American flag flowing gracefully in the wind, which prompted him to yell, “Old Glory.”  Read more about this fascinating story, as retold by the National Museum of American History.

Frequently Asked Questions

This is a common question! For a simple engraving, we recommend one of four popular choices. (1) large initial or monogram (2) last name (3) wedding date or (4) longitude and latitude coordinates of a special place.

For a traditional monogram, with a larger center initial, follow the rules noted below.

  • Individual’s monogram = first, last, middle (for example, Carrie Pearl Smith = cSp)
  • Couple’s monogram = wife’s name, last name, husband’s name (for example, Caroline and Scott Miller = cMs)

Our wood charcuterie boards are treating with mineral oil. Mineral oil is 100% food safe and great for conditioning wood. You can also use coconut oil as an alternative to mineral oil.  General care instructions are included with your order. We also have detailed instructions for charcuterie board care and a video on our website.

Detailed board care instructions are listed on our website, along with a YouTube video for reference. But generally, our recommendations are: (1) wash both sides of the board with soap/water (2) stand the board on its edge overnight to dry, and (3) condition all sides with mineral oil.
