Description

The Cole Cutting Board has a rich color tone that blends perfectly in any kitchen. Take your pick from 100% black cherry or black walnut hardwood. The Cole cutting board is named after the street where one of our employees grew up. He remembers the day his parents rebuilt the kitchen cabinets using rich cherry wood cabinets. They were quickly the focal point of the kitchen space.

This cherry or walnut wood cutting board was made to do the same. To be an enticing background to show off your skills while chopping in the kitchen, firing up the grill, or building a beautiful charcuterie spread.

The Cole Cutting board is built using edge-grain pieces, perfect for chopping. It has a slightly larger surface area than our traditional cutting boards, perfect for spreads while hosting.

We amped up the juice groove, making it a bit wider than usual to catch any extra meat juice when used by your grill. It does it all while still being thin enough to store in a cabinet when not in use.

Love the look, but want a bigger statement piece for the kitchen? Check out the Cherry Edge XL or the Circle Cherry End-Grain.

Frequently Asked Questions

This is a common question! For a simple engraving, we recommend one of four popular choices. (1) large initial or monogram (2) last name (3) wedding date or (4) longitude and latitude coordinates of a special place.

For a traditional monogram, with a larger center initial, follow the rules noted below.

  • Individual’s monogram = first, last, middle (for example, Carrie Pearl Smith = cSp)
  • Couple’s monogram = wife’s name, last name, husband’s name (for example, Caroline and Scott Miller = cMs)

Our wood charcuterie boards are treating with mineral oil. Mineral oil is 100% food safe and great for conditioning wood. You can also use coconut oil as an alternative to mineral oil.  General care instructions are included with your order. We also have detailed instructions for wood cutting board and a video on our website.

Detailed board care instructions are listed on our website, along with a YouTube video for reference. But generally, our recommendations are: (1) wash both sides of the board with soap/water (2) stand the board on its edge overnight to dry, and (3) condition all sides with mineral oil. Easy as 1-2-3!
