Description

We designed these hand-turned wooden rolling pins in the iconic “American” or “Traditional Baker” style with smooth handles on either end. They remind us of the nostalgic tools our grandmothers once used to roll dough and crush peppermints for holiday baking.

Take a trip with us down memory lane. If you are looking for an iconic wooden rolling pin, this beauty is for you. (Hint: if you prefer a tapered dowel-style pin, check out our French Rolling Pins.)

We started with a block of natural hardwood and used a lathe to craft each wooden rolling pin. Each pin is like a snowflake and a true one-of-a-kind. Available in three different wood types, you can pick a style that matches your kitchen décor.

For the ultimate keepsake gift, add a laser-engraved name or initials and make it a custom rolling pin.

While they’re great on their own, these hand-turned wood rolling pins pair perfectly with our Pastry Board too. We engraved the pastry board with a 14″ ruler, four circles (6″-10″) for rolling the perfect crust, and handy charts for liquid and dry measurement conversions. We also recommend flipping it over and using the reverse side for slicing and serving. Dual Purpose is the name of our game!

Frequently Asked Questions

This is a common question! For a simple engraving, we recommend one of four popular choices. (1) large initial or monogram (2) last name (3) wedding date or (4) longitude and latitude coordinates of a special place.

For a traditional monogram, with a larger center initial, follow the rules noted below.

  • Individual’s monogram = first, last, middle (for example, Carrie Pearl Smith = cSp)
  • Couple’s monogram = wife’s name, last name, husband’s name (for example, Caroline and Scott Miller = cMs)
